Bárbara Gomes

Born in 1977 in Porto, is a researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Coimbra. She graduated in Psychology and Health at the University of Porto in 2001, completed her Masters in Palliative Care at King’s College London in 2006 and her PhD in Palliative Care at the same University in 2012 with a research on the factors and outcomes associated with death at home for cancer patients. She also has a background in epidemiology, statistics and health economics. She has done research work in national and international projects in areas such as preferences and priorities for end-of-life care, past and future trends in the place of death, effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of home palliative care. She has more than 60 scientific publications in international journals, with more than 1000 citations. She is an associate editor of the BMC Palliative Care journal.

• The ticket office will only be available one hour before the start of the performances, at the venue where they take place.
