The Risk of Talking: the risk of caring

Henrique Amoedo, Bárbara Gomes, Patrícia Portela

With: Henrique Amoedo (Artistic Director Dançando com a Diferença), Bárbara Gomes (Researcher in palliative care) and Raquel Ribeiro dos Santos (Culturgest).

Taking risks is often connoted with the absence of prudence. This modern misconception, simultaneously visionary and poetic, leads us to see those who take risks as oscillating between persistent optimism and cynical pessimism.
In the dome of the first world we passively contemplate life among other risks, the risk of boredom and the risk of indifference proclaimed by Giddens.
But it is by taking the pulse of a world that cries out for help against potentially irreversible harm that we risk naming three foundations so that, in an experimental way, we can risk again.
Intimacy, care, and repair: fundamental elements to risk-taking that spice up three thematic conversations throughout this MEXE in search of other possible worlds.
