The musicians of the Portuguese Chamber Orchestra – Music Association, with public utility status, in partnership with therapists from CERCIOEIRAS develop in this project musical learning strategies targeted to the specific limitations of these adults, performing activities in which music presents itself not only as a facilitator of communication, but essentially as a therapeutic tool to improve social, physical and cognitive skills.
Since 2009 the project has developed repertoire, adapted scores and adapted instruments, as well as a range of partnerships that allow sharing and learning with their counterparts.
