Meeting of Waters

The artist Gabriela Carneiro da Cunha invites women of different origins, nationalities, languages, bodies, ancestries and ways of life, to dive together in the waters of the Douro River and listen to their testimony. The procedures proposed by the artist for this collective experience are the same ones adopted in her research project MARGINS research MARGINS – ON RIVERS, BOUNDARIES ON RIVERS, BOUNDARIES AND VAGALUMES, dedicated to listen to the testimony of rivers living an experience of catastrophe, from the river’s perspective.
